The design for the majority of houses of worship mainly focuses on the architectural outlook and the aesthetic layout, followed by the space arrangement, number of seats, lighting, temperature, etc. Electro acoustic and audio effects, however, tend to be disregarded in most cases.

Normally large houses of worship are characterised by ample space and wide walls made of marble that contribute to reverberance and resonance. The problems of long reverberation time and unclear speech intelligibility can hardly be tackled when the construction is completed. The best solution is installing an appropriate audio system.
