HOUSE OF VANS Asia Tour - Hong Kong
Venue Central Ferry Pier n.4
HOUSE OF VANS is a global platform in for musicians, artists and action sport athletes with the emphasis on street culture. This year Vans teamed up with Tom Lee Music to seek local talents for an opportunity to perform on stage. Main stage featured local folk and hardcore hip-hop artists alongside with international artists from America and Taiwan to kick start this 3-day extravaganza of music, art, skateboarding and street culture.

Tom Lee Engineering was appointed to provide pro audio and lighting services for this event. At the main music stage, we deployed VUE compact line array system ground stacked on either sides of front stage with matching subwoofer for sound reinforcement. The visual design incoporated a number of Martin MAC Viper series lighting both flown upstage and ground-stacked across the stage, with two extras placed on top of loudspeakers either side to complete the ring.

Yamaha PM5D digital mixing console was used to control the front of house audio and Yamaha CL5 was reserved for monitor mix. As a pioneer and one of the leading innovators in the digital audio console market, Yamaha digital consoles are known for their natural sounding preamps and user friendly interface. CL5 control surface is very compact and weights relatively light in comparison with similar digital consoles in its league. It packs plenty of processing power to handle a variety of live applications as well as the studio.

The event turned out to be another great success with overwhelming positive response from the audience.
